With his broad leadership experience and management skills, Dave Costello has progressed from project engineer to serving as President and owner of M&H. With over 30 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dave brings both a technical and business perspective to all the projects at M&H.
As President, Dave holds a pivotal role in shaping the future of M&H. He is responsible for charting the strategic direction of the company and client satisfaction. He understands that the heart of our business lies in the trust and relationships we build with our clients. Therefore, he actively involves himself in understanding client needs, feedback, and expectations, fostering a culture of excellence and responsiveness within the team. Dave's vision is the guiding force behind our business decisions and growth strategies, ensuring that every step we take aligns with our core values and objectives. His leadership ensures that while we ambitiously pursue growth and innovation, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering quality and value to those we serve. Dave is a current member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states.

As Chief Operating Officer Lisa Costello works with companies from traditional oil and gas sectors to modern renewable alternatives, to maximize the return on their projects by ensuring M&H adds value at every stage.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Lisa believes the key to adding value to our clients’ projects is in understanding their drivers and maintaining a focused approach to solving the right problems. As COO and Project Sponsor, Lisa plays a dual role in steering our company towards success. She is not only responsible for managing day-to-day operations but also takes the lead in ensuring sustainable growth, deeply rooted in the successful delivery of projects. Lisa's role as Project Sponsor adds an extra layer of strategic oversight, guaranteeing that each project aligns with our overarching business goals and values, and driving our team towards continuous improvement and success. Lisa holds a certificate in Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Credential, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an Executive MBA from Rice University.

Mike Abbas brings over 25 years of exceptional leadership and extensive project lifecycle expertise in the oil and gas industry. Mike has held senior positions in structural engineering and operations, demonstrating his adeptness in both technical and managerial capacities for leading global engineering companies. His proficiency is further reinforced by his status as a Licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states, a credential that underscores his commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest standards of engineering practices. Mike's active involvement in the API Sub Committee 2 reflects his dedication to shaping industry standards, while his memberships in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) keep him at the forefront of the latest developments in civil engineering. Mike's academic background, with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University, provides a solid foundation for his professional achievements. Paul Jacobs, Partner
Beginning as a summer intern in 2006, Paul Jacobs has risen through the ranks to become a Partner and the Director of Project Management at M&H. With over two decades of robust engineering experience, Paul has been instrumental in steering the company’s project management strategies. He is renowned for his meticulous approach to understanding project nuances and assembling high-performing teams tailored to each project’s unique requirements. His proactive engagement in identifying and resolving project challenges from the outset ensures consistent delivery of insightful and effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Power Engineering Technology from the University of Houston. He has further honed his leadership skills by completing the Rice University Advanced Management Program (RAMP) and contributes back to the community as a sponsor of the Rice University MBA - Project Management class.

Susanna Stewart, Partner
Susanna Stewart is the Director of Administration, overseeing accounting, human resources, and project controls.
Susanna began her career at M&H in 2011. During her involvement in various projects, she was able to identify project needs and develop tools, processes, and standards to improve productivity, quality, and reporting. Through this evolution, she trained and transitioned her group from project administrators to project controls coordinators, giving them a more integrated role on the projects they support including scheduling, cost tracking, progress reporting, and document control. This provided a greater value to both the project management team as well as the client. In 2018, she moved into her current role as Director of Administration. She is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Fritz Ory
Fritz Ory is a seasoned professional with an impressive tenure of over 45 years in the oil and gas industry. His career is a testament to his diverse skills and deep expertise, particularly in operations management, and the nuances of offshore, inland, and onshore construction. Fritz's proficiency extends to engineering design and supply chain logistics management, areas where his strategic and operational insights have consistently driven project success.
One of Fritz's significant contributions to M&H has been the establishment and development of the offshore construction support team. Under his guidance, this team excels in providing specialized services such as facility engineering, platform decommissioning, and offshore construction management. His practical approach, combined with his leadership skills, has been instrumental in building a team that delivers results with precision and efficiency. More recently, Fritz has taken on the critical role of managing our Field Services Team. His direction has been pivotal in enhancing field walkdown and data validation efforts, reinforcing M&H's position as a leader in the industry. His hands-on experience in the field, coupled with his managerial acumen, ensures that the team operates at the forefront of industry standards. Fritz's academic background, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University, lays the foundation for his extensive practical achievements. His career journey showcases a blend of technical know-how and strategic thinking, making him a valuable leader and mentor within the oil and gas sector.

Phil Arneson, Partner
Since joining M&H in 2013, Phil Arneson has evolved from a Mechanical Engineer designing offshore and upstream facilities to a pivotal leadership role as a Project Engineer and Project Manager. His work spans a diverse array of sectors including upstream, midstream, and renewables. With a solid grounding in process safety, technical engineering, and operations, Phil adeptly addresses the comprehensive life cycle needs of projects.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics from Texas Tech University. His professional journey is marked by a deep commitment to fostering strong relationships with both team members and clients, underpinned by a culture of excellence at M&H.
